Pandora Style Beads
It seems any time I sell some beads there is always that question - Do you have any Pandora beads?  How about something that will fit???

I am starting to make a few more... I am not happy with them yet.  I have tried making them on a fine silver core which is expensive and time consuming but they look O.K.   There will be lots of reject beads :)
Beads, Beads and more Beads.......

Making beads for me is like a Yoga class for others.  Even if what you make is garbage (and that happens a lot) working at the torch is a great way to let go of your troubles and just focus on the flowing glass.

Implosion Beads
A slight attempt at trying to do the soft glass version of the popular boro implosions.  Not quite the effect I was looking for but they do look neat

I purchase my glass rods and tools from a variety of places around North America.  I use mostly COE 104 compatible glasses.  This includes Moretti, Vertofond, Lausha, Double Helix, Tag and Richenbach.

All my beads are all properly kiln-annealed to ensure strength and durability.

T
his weekend was the Kristina Logan Class at Tank Studios!  It was  great fun and we all learned soooo much.  Here are a few of the beads from day one.

We were taught to make disks.  I was surprised how much you could do with a small flame and a bit of graphite.  In this bead we practiced dragging the glass.

I was shown a new way to encase and it it works great!  These dots are done with full size rods!  Hard to believe!

This bead was a demo bead Kristina made to demonstrate a technique on how to make large bicones.  At the end of the course we all got to pick a surprise demo bead and this was the one I got.  I will never be able to make one so perfect in shape.
